Hi Muhammad,
I think you have to be living in the United States to become a member of the National Association of Social Workers (and each state has its own registration process/requirements).
However, if you’re interested, you could try becoming a member of the International Federation of Social Workers. Their link is http://ifsw.org

I really appreciate the initiative, but could you please give me additional information on how a well experienced social worker but currently in a refugee status can have the access to this…..
thanks …..
I can elaborate my situation if you are willing to help…..

Alamin,
The career fair is open to all social workers, regardless of whether you are a NASW member or not. And you can easily register by clicking on the register here button…
However, in terms of securing actual employment, each state will have its own licensing requirements.
That’s a good question – what do social workers do with refugee status? I don’t know… Perhaps one place to start asking would be with the NASW organization… Here is their contact information http://careers.socialworkers.org/contact.asp If they are unable to help you, perhaps they could recommend another organization that could provide you with some answers.
You could also try reaching out to the CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) for guidance. See what they say about requirements etc. here International Social Work Degree Recognition and Evaluation Service http://www.cswe.org/CentersInitiatives/22207.aspx
The Department of Health seems to also address this topic Social Worker Licensing Requirements for Foreign Trained Applicants http://www.ct.gov/Dph/cwp/view.asp?a=3121&q=389608&dphNav_GID=1821
So I think one of the above places should be able to assist you or refer you to someone who can. Hopefully, it is not too difficult a process.
Wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks for sharing, Dorlee! I watched the intro video, looks interesting. I’m a bit disappointed that it is text-based. I feel like candidates and employers would benefit more from a video chat. Perhaps it would be too resource-heavy.
